Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV only)

Using the Plug-in Hybrid menu (Type 2) (PHEV only)


You can use various features for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, such as viewing your vehicle′s driving and energy information, scheduling a charging of your vehicle, or searching for charging stations.
On the Home screen, press PHEV.

Plug-in Hybrid screen (Type 2) (PHEV only)

The Plug-in Hybrid screen provides the following functions and information:
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Settings: Select the default information to display on the Plug-in Hybrid screen or set the charging current.
  3. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.
  1. Select the default information to display on the Plug-in Hybrid screen.
  1. View real-time eco-driving information. > See "Viewing ECO Driving information (Type 2) (PHEV only)."
  1. View battery information and the real-time energy flow. > See “Viewing Energy Information (Type 2) (PHEV only).”
  1. Check the drivable range you can drive with the current amount of battery and search for nearby charging stations. > See “Viewing EV Range (Type 2) (PHEV only).”
  1. Schedule battery chargings or customize related options. > See "Setting up scheduled chargings (Type 2) (PHEV only)."
  1. Access the list of charging stations.
  1. Access the list of gas stations.
Note
Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens and available functions may vary.

Configuring the Plug-in Hybrid settings (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can select the default information to display on the Plug-in Hybrid screen or set the charging current.
  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press .
  1. Select an option to change.
Note
  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, available options may vary.
  • To access the web manual on the PHEV Settings screen, press > User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.

ECO Driving

You can select either Fuel Economy or ECO Level to display on the ECO Driving widget.

Energy Information

You can select either Battery Information or Energy Flow to display on the Energy Information widget.

Charging Current (if equipped)

You can set the charging current that is appropriate for your charger type.

Viewing ECO Driving information (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can view your eco-driving information and previous driving history.
On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press ECO Driving.

Viewing Fuel Economy information

You can view your vehicle’s fuel economy information.
On the ECO Driving screen, press Fuel Economy.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.
  1. Average fuel economy
  1. View your hybrid fuel economy displayed in a graph as well as your accumulated electric motor use.
  1. Reset the fuel efficiency graphs to the default values.
Note
  • The fuel efficiency graphs will be updated every two and a half minutes and will automatically be reset when the engine is stopped.
  • The average fuel efficiency value shows the accumulated average fuel economy after refueling, so the value will not be reset despite the graph resetting.

Viewing ECO Level

You can view your eco-level that is awarded based on economical and ecofriendly driving.
On the ECO Driving screen, press ECO Level.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.
  1. View your vehicle′s eco-level.
Note
If you drive economically by reducing rapid acceleration and sudden braking, the eco-level will increase.

Viewing History

You can view the records of your previous driving, such as the date, driving distance, and fuel efficiency.
On the ECO Driving screen, press History.

  • The record with the best fuel efficiency is indicated with .
  • To delete your driving history, press > Delete History.

Viewing Energy Information (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can view battery information and the energy flow between the engine, the electric motor, and the battery according to your vehicle’s driving status.
On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Energy Information.

Viewing Battery Information

You can view the drivable distance and information about the charging time.
In the Energy Information screen, press Battery Information.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.
  1. Total drivable distance, current battery status, and range you can drive according to the fuel type (gasoline or electricity)
  1. Estimated time until your vehicle is fully charged.
Note
The drivable distance is an estimate based on the real-time fuel efficiency. If your driving pattern changes, the estimated drivable distance will change accordingly.

Viewing Energy Flow

You can view the energy flow between the engine, the electric motor, and the battery according to your vehicle’s driving status.
On the Energy Information screen, press Energy Flow.

Viewing EV Range (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can check the range you can drive with the current amount of battery on the map. You can also search for nearby charging stations and start navigation to the selected station if needed.
  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press EV Range.
  1. On the Range screen, view the drivable range and locations of nearby charging stations.
  1. The drivable range will be indicated by a light green circle, and the locations and availability of the charging stations within range will also be displayed.
  1. Access the list of charging stations.
  1. Set a filter to view specific types of charging stations on the map.
  1. Zoom in.
  1. Set to fix the map scale or to set it to change automatically according to driving conditions.
  1. Zoom out.
Note
To access the web manual on the Range screen, press > User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.

Setting up scheduled chargings (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can schedule battery charging at a specified time on a selected day of the week.

Option A

  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Charging Settings.
  1. Select an option to change.
  1. Set the time to start charging.
  1. Select days on which you want to schedule charging.
  1. Press OK.
Note
  • The scheduled time is based on your system’s clock.
  • Scheduled charging will start only if a charging cable is connected to your vehicle at the scheduled time.
  • When the charging cable is connected to the vehicle, the remaining charging time will appear on the screen.
  • To access the web manual on the Charging Settings screen, press > User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.

Option B

  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Charging Settings.
  1. Press Press to Set Charging..
  1. To change the scheduled time, select the check box next to the starting time and press .
  1. Select a charging option and press OK.
  1. Select an option to change.
  1. Set the time to start charging.
  1. Set the time to end charging. You can set the end time when you select Set Start Time + Set End Time.
  1. Select days on which you want to schedule charging.
  1. Press OK.

  • The scheduled time is based on your system’s clock.
  • Scheduled charging will start only if a charging cable is connected to your vehicle at the scheduled time.
  • When the charging cable is connected to the vehicle, the remaining charging time will appear on the screen.

Searching for nearby charging stations (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can search for nearby charging stations and start navigation to a selected station.
Note
The system will search for charging stations within 50 km of your current location, regardless of the drivable range.
  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Charging Stations.
  1. Select a search area from the left side of the screen and select a charging station from the list on the right.

  • To filter the search results, press Filter and select a charging type and brand.
  • To access the web manual on the charging station search screen, press > User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.
  1. View the location on the map and press Set as Destination.
Note
If the destination is active, press Change Destination > Yes to change the destination.

Searching for nearby gas stations (Type 2) (PHEV only)

You can search for nearby gas stations and start navigation to a selected station.
Note
The system will search for gas stations within 50 km of your current location.
  1. On the Plug-in Hybrid screen, press Gas Stations.
  1. Select a search area from the left side of the screen and select a gas station from the list on the right.
Note
  • To filter the search results, press Filter and select a fuel type, station type, and brand.
  • To access the web manual on the gas station search screen, press > User's Manual on Web (QR Code) and then scan the displayed QR code.
  1. View the location on the map and press Set as Destination.
Note
If the destination is active, press Change Destination > Yes to change the destination.
