Bluelink services


Bluelink provides connected car services, such as remote control, safety, vehicle maintenance, and navigation guidance, via the latest IT and communication technologies. Experience smart safe driving with Bluelink.
Once subscribed, you can use the following services for free within a fixed period. For more information about the complimentary service period, visit the Hyundai website (http://www.hyundai.com).

Service limitations

Because the Bluelink services are provided via mobile networks, use of the service may be restricted depending on the mobile network status. Check the network signal icon () at the top line of the screen to see if the network signal strength is adequate.
Note
  • It is recommended to use the service when the network signal icon has more than four signal bars.
  • Depending on the network signal status, access to Bluelink may be restricted in the following locations:
  • In a building or tunnel
  • In a mountain or dense forest
  • On a road close to cliffs
  • In an area with a lot of high buildings
  • On a highway or a road under an overpass
  • Out of a service area based on the mobile network service provider′s coverage policy
The service may be unavailable or the use of the service may be restricted in the following situations. The company is not responsible for problems arising from a service provided or not provided in the situations:
  • When the mobile network service provider stops or delays the mobile network service. Due to physical limitations in the mobile network or changes in the service provider's business or policy, the service may be delayed, suspended, or unavailable. The company is not responsible for these situations.
  • When you are out of a mobile network service area
  • When the use of the service is suspended due to unpaid service charges
  • When the Bluelink terminal or vehicle is arbitrarily repaired or the terminal is detached and reattached
  • When power supply to a Bluelink terminal is interrupted due to battery discharge, severe impact to the vehicle, a natural disaster, or other circumstance
  • When signal reception is poor due to an error in GPS satellites or interference or when you are in an area where radio signals are not recognized
  • When the commercial use of GPS satellites becomes unavailable, including charging
  • When a problem occurs due to the careless use of remote control services
  • When a normal service provision is not possible due to maintenance, replacement, or breakdown of the service center's system, a natural disaster, a state of national emergency, equipment failure, service congestion, or other circumstance
  • Some services, such as remote climate system control, remote door lock/unlock, car finder, anti-theft tracking, and anti-theft alarm notification, will be available only for 96 hours consecutively, because the engine stops to ensure stable power supply to the vehicle.
  • Depending on the company's conditions, services in Bluelink may be modified, added, or deleted.

Activating the service

Only a vehicle owner or a person approved by the vehicle owner can activate Bluelink.
Subscribe to the service by using one of the following methods:
  • Via the Bluelink app (if equipped)
  • Via the Bluelink settings menu in the vehicle
Note
Corporate customers can subscribe to the service only via the Bluelink settings menu in the vehicle.

Creating your Hyundai account via the smartphone app (if equipped)

  • When subscribing to the service, you need to verify yourself.
  • Displayed screens may change after an app update.

  1. Download and install the Bluelink app.
  1. When the login page appears, press 회원가입.
Note
If you have signed up for the Hyundai website and Bluelink (Home to Car), you can log in using your existing account information.
  1. Read the terms of use, check the boxes, and press 동의.
  1. Complete the authentication by following the on-screen instructions.
  1. Enter your account information.
  1. Enter your password and press 설정하기.
Note
This password will be used for remote control (if equipped).

Activating the service via the smartphone app (if equipped)

Note
Displayed screens may change after an app update.

  1. To activate your vehicle, press 등록하기.
  1. Select the vehicle model to activate and press 확인.
  1. Read the terms of use, check the boxes, and press 동의.
  1. Select the registered vehicle model and press 차량 이용하기.

Activating the service via the system

Caution
Do not stop the engine while the activation is in progress. Doing so may cause a system malfunction.
  1. On the All Menus screen, press Bluelink > Bluelink Settings > Activate Bluelink.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
Note
  • When activating the service, you must enter a verification code. For individual customers, the code will be sent to the phone number registered on the sale contract of the vehicle.

Changing or canceling your subscription

If you want to change your information or cancel your subscription, contact the Bluelink Center (080-600-6000).
Note
  • You may need to provide proof of identity.
  • If you no longer use the Bluelink services for any reason, such as due to sale, transfer, lease termination, or rental return, be sure to cancel your subscription and reset the system. Bluelink is not canceled automatically.
  • Free offers will not be applied to a new subscription due to a changed contractor or owner.
  • The work hours for changes and cancellation at the Bluelink Center are from 08:30 to 18:00 on weekdays. (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)
