Using N mode (if equipped)


You can set the drive modes to optimize your vehicle′s driving performance and view driving performance information in real time.
On the Home screen, press N Mode.

N Mode screen

The N Mode screen provides the following functions and information:

  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Edit N Mode Widgets: Configure the performance info widget to show on the N Mode screen. (if equipped)
  3. Tutorial: View the tutorials on N mode driving, such as track driving and economy. (if equipped)
  4. User's Manual on Web (QR Code): View the QR code for access to the web manual.
  1. Set the drive modes for each part related to driving. > See ″Setting the drive modes.″
  1. Check your vehicle′s lap times and acceleration time. > See ″Managing driving records.″
  1. View your vehicle′s driving performance information in real time. > See ″Viewing driving performance information.″
  1. The vehicle speed and gear position in real time. (if equipped)
  1. Information on the current circuit. (If circuit information is not available, a circuit graphic or custom widget is provided.) (if equipped)

Setting the drive modes

You can set the drive modes by individual parts, such as the engine or suspension.
  1. On the N Mode screen, press CUSTOM.
  1. Select a part and its mode.

  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Reset: Reset your drive mode settings to the default values.
  1. Select a drive mode for the engine. You can choose between effective driving and energetic driving.
  1. Select a drive mode for the engine speed matching system. Depending on this setting, the transmission speed and shock loads when you are downshifting vary.
  1. Select a drive mode for the system that allocates the driving force to the wheels according to road conditions. Depending on this setting, your vehicle's driving performance on slippery roads varies. (if equipped)
  1. Select a drive mode for the exhaust sound. (if equipped)
  1. Select a drive mode for the suspension system. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s ride quality varies.
  1. Select a drive mode for the steering system. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s steering sensitivity varies.
  1. Select a drive mode for the electronic stability control (ESC) system sensitivity. The ESC system controls the vehicle frames automatically for stable driving.

Managing driving records

You can view previous lap times or measure your vehicle′s acceleration time.

Viewing lap times

On the N Mode screen, press Performance Timer > Lap.

  2. Lap Timer Setting: Select between the previous record and the best record as the base record to display the time gap on the screen. (if equipped)
  3. List/Lap List: View records in detail.

  1. Lap times list
  1. Set the base record to show the time gap from the best or last lap. (if equipped)
  1. Select whether to measure lap time records automatically or manually. (if equipped)

Measuring acceleration time

You can measure the amount of time elapsed until your vehicle reaches to the target speed from a stop.
Caution
  • Measure acceleration time only where you can drive safely.
  • If you measure acceleration time on an ordinary road, follow all traffic regulations.

On the N Mode screen, press Performance Timer > Acceleration.

  2. Reset: Delete all the records. (if equipped)
  3. List/Acceleration List: View records in detail.
  1. Set the target speed.
  1. Start or cancel acceleration measurement. If you press this button and accelerate, the measurement will start.

Viewing driving performance information

You can view real-time information on your vehicle′s driving performance, such as the gravitational force or the turbo boost pressure.
  1. On the N Mode screen, select an item you want to view.
  1. Throttle: The throttle gauge in real time. (if equipped)
  2. Oil Temp.: The engine oil temperature in real time. (if equipped)
  3. Engine Temp.: The coolant temperature in real time. (if equipped)
  4. Brake Press: The brake press in real time. (if equipped)
  5. Speed: The current vehicle speed in real time. (if equipped)
  6. Power: View the engine power (ps) in real time. To change a unit of measure, press > Unit Settings on the Power screen.
  7. Torque: View the torque value generated by the engine in real time. To change a unit of measure, press > Unit Settings on the Torque screen. (If equipped)
  8. Turbo: View the turbo boost pressure of the engine in real time. To change a unit of measure, press > Unit Settings on the Turbo screen. (if equipped)
  9. G-Force: View the gravitational force that occurs during cornering and turning.
  1. View detailed information about the selected item.
Note
  • The current vehicle speed is displayed next to performance information on each information screen. To hide or display the vehicle speed, press > Vehicle Speed. (if equipped)
  • To reset the information display, on each information screen, press > Reset.
