Bluelink (if equipped)

Safety and security services

You can use various safety and security services upon a traffic accident or emergency situation.

Automatic notification of airbag deployment (if equipped)

When any airbag is deployed due to a traffic accident, an airbag status signal is sent to the Bluelink Emergency Response Center for quick assistance.
As soon as any airbag is deployed, it is automatically reported and you are connected to the concierge who can help you contact the emergency center or your insurance company for assistance.
Note
  • Automatic answering mode is activated to allow you to answer even in inconvenient conditions. Automatic answering mode is deactivated as soon as the vehicle is turned off or the concierge closes the service.
  • The service is unavailable when the system is not working properly due to modification, detachment, breakage, or poor maintenance.
  • The service may not be available when power is not supplied due to damage to the battery caused by excessive shock from an accident.
  • The service is not available in an accident without airbag deployment in the following circumstances:
  • Rear impact collision
  • Side impact collision with no side airbag
  • Oblique impact collision (when the vehicle collides with another car at an angle on the front)
  • Vehicle overturn or turnover, or other reasons
  • When you install any external devices such as a remote starter, the airbag deployment signal may be transmitted when there is no accident. Be careful when attaching or using an external device.

To request the anti-theft tracking service, contact the Bluelink Center (080-600-6000) and follow the ARS instructions.
  • After completing the identification process, the anti-theft tracking service will be provided in cooperation with the police.
Note

  • In order to protect your personal and location information, the vehicle information is only provided when requested by the police.

Anti-theft alarm notification (if equipped)

When the anti-theft alarm sounds, the alarm signal is automatically reported to the Bluelink Center and a text message is sent to the registered mobile phone.
When an anti-theft alarm activates, the emergency lights blink and the alarm sounds.
Note
  • The anti-theft alarm activates when you attempt to open a door, hood, or trunk (tailgate) without using the smart key or remote control key after locking the doors with the smart key or remote control key.

  • This service is unavailable for vehicles without the anti-theft alarm system.
  • Depending on the vehicle model, you can activate or deactivate the anti-theft alarm system by using the primary or secondary key.

Rear seat passenger notification (if equipped)

The rear seat passenger notification informs you when movement is detected in the rear seats or a rear seat door is opened.
Through this feature, you can prevent accidents that may occur from leaving infants or pets in the rear seats.
If the driver seat door and the rear seat doors were opened before starting the engine, but only the driver seat door is opened after stopping the engine, a notification will appear on the instrument cluster and an alarm will sound.
If you lock the doors after the notification is displayed, an alarm will sound and a text message will be sent when movement is detected.
Note
  • A text message is sent once to the mobile phone registered when subscribing to Bluelink.
  • An alarm consists of 10 horn honks and is repeated up to eight times.
  • The rear seat sensor is active for 24 hours after the door is locked.

Driver attention notification (if equipped)

Your current status is assessed through analyzing things like your current position in the lane, steering pattern, and how you are holding the steering wheel. When you should be paying more attention to the road, a phone call is automatically made to a Bluelink consultant.
You can overcome your drowsiness through a conversation with the consultant or be guided to a nearby rest area to prevent any accidents that could occur.

Criteria for determining the level of driver attention

  • There are five levels of driver attention. The level goes down if careless driving continues and goes up if careless driving is not detected for a certain period of time.
  • If you drive for a long time without a break, the level goes down.
  • When the level goes below the first stage, a notification appears on the system screen and instrument cluster. The Bluelink Center monitors the level and decides whether to make a phone call.
Note
  • You can use this service only when the vehicle's driver attention notification system is active and the alarm has gone off.
  • This service is unavailable for vehicles without the driver attention notification system.
