Caution
Do not use nonstandard-shaped CDs, such as 8 cm (3 inch), heart-shaped, or octagonal CDs. Doing so may cause a system malfunction.
Note
  • Your system is designed and manufactured to be compatible with software bearing the following logo:
  • Your system does not support the recording of CD-Rs or CD-RWs.
  • Your system may not play the following types of CDs:
  • CD-Rs and CD-RWs created via CD writers or PCs (depending on the disc type, recording method, software settings, etc.): For software compatibility, contact the software manufacturer or refer to the package of the software CD.
  • Copy-protected CDs, such as S-TYPE CDs
  • If you play a CD with multiple sessions of CD-DA (audio) and DATA (MP3, WMA) formats, only the CD-DA format session will play.
  • The system supports playing files that use a variable bit rate, but the playback time may be incorrect.
  • Low bit rate MP3 tracks will play at low quality depending on the file characteristics.
Cautions when writing CDs
  • Unauthorized use of copy-protected files is prohibited by law. Do not use illegal content.
  • Use CD-Rs and CD-RWs that conform to the manufacturing specifications. Prolonged use of CDs that do not meet the specifications may result in a system malfunction.
  • Make sure to close the session when writing CDs, unless you are creating a multisession CD. A CD with an open session may not play on your system.
  • The use of ISO9660 Level 2 JOLIET is recommended.
  • Do not write files that exceed 700 MB on a CD. The CD may not be recognized or a playback error may occur.
  • Do not change the file extensions of MP3 or WMA files arbitrarily. Doing so may cause a system malfunction.
  • When creating an MP3 or WMA CD, write only in Korean or English. A CD written in other languages may not be recognized or a playback error may occur.
  • Low-speed writing is recommended. Low-speed writing can record files more reliably than high-speed writing and prevent recognition and playback errors.
