Navigation functions


By using the search, route, and TPEG functions from the navigation menu screen, you can search for a location in various ways, edit your route, or view real-time traffic information.

Getting to know the Destination functions

You can set your destination by using the various search functions provided on the Destination tab.
Use one of the following methods:
  • On the All Menus screen, press Navigation Menu > Destination.
  • On the control panel, press the [NAV] button.

  1. Customize the navigation settings.
  1. Search for a location by entering various kinds of keywords, such as a place name or an address. > See "Searching for locations by keyword."
  1. Search for a location by using the point of interest (POI) category. > See "Searching for locations by POI category."
  1. Search for a location by entering an address. > See "Searching for locations by address."
  1. Select one of the destinations you entered previously. > See "Selecting a location from previous destinations."
  1. Select one of locations stored in your address book. > See "Registering locations."
  1. Search for a service center or an auto repair shop. > See "Searching for an auto repair shop."
  1. Save your favorite locations, such as your home and workplace.
  1. Search for a location via the Kakao Online Search service (if equipped). > See "Using Kakao Online Search (if equipped).”
Note
To use the Kakao Online Search service, first sign in to Bluelink. > See "Activating the service."
  1. Search for a scenic driving route through the Scenic route search function. (if equipped) > See "Searching for Scenic Route (if equipped)."

Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, the available icons and their location may vary.

Getting to know the Route functions

You can edit your route or change the route options by using the functions provided on the Route tab.
Use one of the following methods:
  • On the All Menus screen, press Navigation Menu > Route.
  • On the control panel, press the [NAV] button and press Route.

  1. Customize the navigation settings.
  1. Stop or restart the navigation guidance.
  1. View the detailed route information for your destination or search for a route again by selecting roads to avoid. > See "Avoiding specific roads."
  1. View all of the route information to your destination.
  1. Edit your route by adding waypoints. > See "Editing your route."
  1. Change the route options to search for a route again.
  1. Scan the route to your destination by section on the map. (if equipped)
  1. Access the routes you have saved previously. (if equipped)
  1. You can set up a list of the areas to avoid when searching for routes to your destination.(if equipped) > See "Setting areas to avoid (if equipped)."

Getting to know the Traffic functions

You can view the real-time information, such as traffic conditions, accident news, and fuel price information, by using the functions provided on the Traffic tab.
Use one of the following methods:
  • On the All Menus screen, press Navigation Menu > Traffic.
  • On the control panel, press the [NAV] button and press Traffic.

  1. Customize the navigation settings.
  1. Search for a specific road by entering its name and view its real-time traffic conditions. > See "Viewing traffic information by searching road names."
  1. View real-time traffic conditions by area or highway. > See "Viewing traffic information by road."
  1. View real-time traffic conditions of the roads set as your favorite. > See "Viewing the traffic information of your favorite roads."
  1. View accident news, sections of road under construction, and more. > See "Viewing accident news."
  1. Search for nearby gas stations and view real-time fuel price information. (if equipped) > See “Viewing fuel price information (if equipped).”
  1. View real-time news. (if equipped) > See "Viewing news (if equipped)."
