Using the Electric vehicle menu (EV only)

You can use various features for electric vehicles, such as viewing your vehicle′s driving and energy information, scheduling a charging of your vehicle, or searching for charging stations.

On the Home screen, press EV.

Electric vehicle screen (EV only)

The Electric vehicle screen provides the following functions and information:

Return to the previous level.

Display the options list.

Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
Manual: View the QR code for access to the web manual.

Check the range you can drive with the current amount of battery and search for nearby charging stations. > See ″Checking the Range (EV only).″

View information related to energy, such as the drivable distance and battery status. > See ″Viewing Energy information (EV only).″

Schedule battery chargings or customise related options. > See ″Using the Charge management features (EV only).″

View real-time eco-driving information. > See ″Viewing ECO driving information (EV only).″

Change the settings for electric vehicle features. > See ″Configuring the EV settings (EV only).″

Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens and available functions may vary.

Checking the Range (EV only)

You can check the range you can drive with the current amount of battery on the map. You can also search for nearby charging stations and start navigation to the selected station if needed.

On the Electric vehicle screen, press the map area.

On the Range screen, view the drivable range and locations of nearby charging stations.

The drivable range will be indicated by a light blue border and the locations and availability of the charging stations within range will also be displayed.

Access the list of charging stations.

Set a filter to view specific types of charging stations on the map.

Change how the map is displayed.

(Heading up): The map rotates according to your driving direction.
(North up): North is always up.
(3D map): A three-dimension effect is applied and the map rotates according to your driving direction.

Zoom in.

Set to fix the map scale or to set it to change automatically according to driving conditions.

Zoom out.

Update the drivable range to reflect real-time information.

Searching for nearby charging stations

If you need to drive beyond the drivable range, you can search for charging stations within range and start navigation to a selected station.

On the Range screen, press List.

Note

Alternatively, on the All menus screen, press Navigation > Destination > POI category > EV charging stations to start searching for charging stations.

Select a search area from the left side of the screen and select a charging station from the list on the right.

Note

To filter the search results, press Filter and select a charging type and brand.
To set a charging station as your favourite, press next to the charging station name. Once you save your favourite charging stations, you can quickly view them from the Favourite stations menu at the left side of the screen.

View the location on the map and press Set as destination.

Note

Depending on the third-party data provider′s situation and circumstances, some information may be inaccurate.

Viewing Energy information (EV only)

You can view the drivable distance and information about the charging time.

On the Electric vehicle screen, press Energy information.

Energy information screen

Display the options list.

Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
Energy consumption: View the energy consumption of each component in your vehicle since you started the vehicle.
Charging limit (AC charger): Set a target battery level for AC charging. > See ″Setting the target battery level.″
Charging limit (DC charger): Set a target battery level for DC charging. > See ″Setting the target battery level.″
Manual: View the QR code for access to the web manual.

Return to the previous level.

View the current battery status and drivable distance. Press to access energy consumption information.

View the estimated charging time and drivable distance when your vehicle is charged to the target battery amount by DC charging. Press to set the target battery level.

View the estimated charging time and drivable distance when your vehicle is charged to the target battery amount by AC charging. Press to set the target battery level.

Note

The drivable distance is an estimate based on the real-time energy efficiency. If your driving pattern changes, the estimated drivable distance will change accordingly.
Even if you set the same target battery level, the estimated drivable distance may vary depending on changes in your driving pattern.

Using the Charge management features (EV only)

You can use various features, such as scheduling battery charges or climate controls according to a preset departure time.

On the Electric vehicle screen, press Charge management.

Select an option to change.

Note

To access the web manual on the Charge Management screen, press

> Manual and then scan the displayed QR code.

Setting up scheduled chargings and climate controls

You can schedule battery charges or climate controls according to a preset departure time.

Setting the departure time

On the Charge management screen, press Charging and climate.

Press next to Next departure.

Select a departure setting option and press next to it.

Set the departure time and the day of the week and press OK.

Setting up scheduled chargings

On the Charge management screen, press Charging and climate.

Press Scheduled charging to activate it and press next to it.

Select an option to change.

Set the off-peak electricity time.

Your vehicle will charge the battery for the next departure time, primarily using the off-peak electricity time.

Your vehicle will charge the battery only at the off-peak electricity time.

Press OK.

Note

Scheduled charging will start only if a charging cable is connected to your vehicle at the scheduled time.

Setting scheduled climate controls

On the Charge management screen, press Charging and climate.

Press Target temperature to activate it and press next to it.

Set a desired temperature, set whether to activate the auto defogging system, and press OK.

Setting up location-based charging

You can set the system to use scheduled charging and climate controls at a specific location and set the charging current to use.

On the Charge management screen, press Charging location.

Press Use location-based charging and set detailed options.

Set a location where you want to implement scheduled charging and climate controls.

Set to implement scheduled charging and climate controls only in the preset location.

Select a charging current to use in the preset location.

Note

Depending on the charging environment, the charging time may vary.
If you do not set an appropriate charging current, the battery may not be charged properly and it may cause a charging error.

Setting the target battery level

You can set the target battery level to charge to.

On the Charge management screen, press Charging limit.

Select a charger type to set the target battery level.

Set the target battery level and press OK.

Note

AC charging ensures the optimal battery performance for a longer period of time than DC charging.
When the battery amount reaches the target level, charging will stop. Charging the battery only as much as needed ensures the optimal battery performance for a longer period of time than charging the battery fully each time.

Setting the charging current

You can set the charging current that is appropriate for your charger type.

On the Charge management screen, press Charging current.

Select a charger type to set the charging current.

Set the charging current and press OK.

Depending on the charging environment, the charging time may vary.
If you do not set an appropriate charging current, the battery may not be charged properly and it may cause a charging error.

Viewing ECO driving information (EV only)

You can view your eco-driving information.

On the Electric vehicle screen, press ECO driving.

Select an item to view its details.

Note

To access the web manual on the ECO Driving screen, press

> Manual and then scan the displayed QR code.

Viewing ECO Contribution

You can view the amount of carbon dioxide reduction in comparison with gasoline vehicles.

On the ECO driving screen, press Eco contrib..

Viewing EV Economy History

You can view the records of your previous driving, such as the date, driving distance, and energy efficiency.

On the ECO driving screen, press Fuel economy history.

Note

The record with the best energy efficiency is indicated with .
To delete your driving history, press > Delete history.

Configuring the EV settings (EV only)

You can set your system to warn you if the destination is beyond your reach due to low battery level or check the range you can drive with your current amount of battery. Also, you can set to increase the battery temperature in advance during winter.

On the Electric vehicle screen, press EV settings.

Select an option to change.

Note

Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, available options may vary.
To access the web manual on the EV Settings screen, press > Manual and then scan the displayed QR code.

Warning

Range warning: Set the system to calculate the drivable distance each time you set a destination for navigation and warn you if the destination is beyond your reach.

EV route

Show EV route on the map: Set the system to indicate the drivable range you can drive with the current battery amount on your route. Based on your current battery, sections of the map that you will be able to reliably reach will be indicated in light blue, and sections that you cannot reach will be in grey. Also, the icon for searching for charging stations will be displayed.
