Listening to the radio


You can search for radio stations through various search methods and listen to them. You can also save your favourite radio stations to the preset list.
Use one of the following methods:
  • On the All menus screen, press Radio.
  • On the control panel, press the [RADIO] button.

Radio screen

The radio screen provides various functions you can use for when you are listening to radio broadcasts.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Station list: Access the list of available radio stations.
  3. Scan DAB/FM (DAB only): Preview each radio station for a few seconds and select the one you want.
  4. Scan FM (FM only): Preview each radio station for a few seconds and select the one you want.
  5. Scan AM (AM only): Preview each radio station for a few seconds and select the one you want.
  6. Manual tune FM (DAB/FM only): Tune the radio frequency manually.
  7. Manual tune AM (AM only): Tune the radio frequency manually.
  8. Delete favourites: Delete saved radio stations from the preset list. > See ″Deleting saved radio stations.″
  9. TA (if equipped): Activate traffic announcements. Announcements and programmes will be received automatically if available.
  10. Regional (if equipped): Enable or disable automatic switching between regional stations.
  11. DAB/FM switching (DAB only): Switch between the DAB and FM modes.
  12. Radio noise control (DAB/FM only): Access the screen where you can select the FM radio noise reduction option for the sound quality of the incoming signal.
  13. Sound settings: Access the system sound settings screen.
  14. Manual: View the QR code for access to the web manual.

  1. Select a radio mode.
  1. Change the frequency. Press to switch to the previous or next frequency.
  1. Radio station information
  1. Save the current radio station to the preset list, or delete it from the list. > See ″Saving radio stations.″
  1. Access the list of available radio stations.

  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens may vary.
  • Depending on the amplifier specifications, the sound effect setting button may appear on the screen. > See ″Using sound effects (if equipped).″
  • Station names and local information are received via GPS signals. If no GPS signal is received, information may not be displayed.
  • Displayed station names may differ from the actual radio stations.

Changing the radio mode

Use one of the following methods:
  • On the radio screen, press the radio mode button repeatedly. The radio mode switches to DAB (if equipped)/FM > AM in order.
  • On the control panel, press the [RADIO] button repeatedly. The radio mode switches to DAB (if equipped)/FM > AM in order.

Changing the radio station

Use one of the following methods:
  • On the radio screen, select one of the radio stations from the preset list.
Note
You can also change the radio station by using the Search lever/button on the steering wheel.
  • On the control panel, press the [] or [] button. The previous or next available radio station will be selected.
You can now listen to the changed radio station.
Note
If your system has the Search knob (TUNE FILE) on the control panel, you can also change the frequency by turning the knob.

Scanning for available radio stations

You can listen to each radio station for a few seconds and select the one you want.
  1. At the top left of the radio screen, press > Scan DAB/FM, Scan FM, or Scan AM.
  1. The system provides a preview of each radio station on the available stations list for five seconds.
  1. When you find the radio station to which you want to listen, press .
  1. You can continue listening to the current radio station.
Note
The system will not add or update the AM radio stations on the available stations list automatically. To add or update AM radio stations manually, switch the radio mode to AM, and press List > or Refresh.

Saving radio stations

You can save your favourite radio stations and listen to them by selecting from the preset list.
While listening to a radio station, press on the radio screen.
  • The radio station you are listening to will be added to the preset list.
Note
  • You can also press > Station list and press next to a radio station to save it to the preset list.
  • You can save up to 24 radio stations.
  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens may vary.

Editing the radio stations list

Deleting saved radio stations

  1. At the top left of the radio screen, press > Delete favourites.
  1. Select the radio station you want to delete and press Delete > Yes.
  1. The selected radio station will be deleted from the corresponding slot on the preset list.
Note
If you are listening to one of the saved radio stations, press to delete the current radio station.
