Using pet mode (if equipped)
When you need to leave your pet alone in the vehicle for a short time, pet mode optimizes the vehicle′s interior temperature to create a pet-friendly space based on user input.
- To use the service, make sure you install the myHyundai App on your smartphone and sign up for the Bluelink Service. Use either Google Play Store or App Store (depending on your smartphone model) to download and install the myHyundai App and sign up for the Bluelink Service. ► See “Subscribing to the service.”
- To use the service, make sure your user profile is linked to your Hyundai Motor Company single sign-on account. To link your user profile to your Hyundai Motor Company single sign-on account, press Setup ► User Profile from the Home screen.
Warning
- This function helps to increase the safety of leaving pets unattended in the vehicle. The vehicle owner is responsible for its use under all circumstances.
- Before using pet mode, make sure there are no infants or young children in the vehicle.
- Leaving pets unattended in a vehicle may be prohibited by law in some countries and regions. Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- This function is disabled while driving to ensure safety. To use this function, first be sure to you stop the vehicle. Using the function is possible after shifting to ″P″ (Park).
Caution
- Pet mode consumes battery power, so it may turn off if the vehicle battery is low.
- Leaving pets unattended in the vehicle for a long time is not recommended. Please use the function for a short time.
- If the vehicle′s system connection is unstable, pet mode may turn off.
Starting pet mode
- On the Home screen, press Pet Mode.
- Before using pet mode, read How to Use Pet Mode.
- To view the online manual, press
► Online Manual , and scan the QR code with your mobile phone.
- Set the desired temperature for activating pet mode.
- You can adjust the temperature by pressing
or
, or dragging the control bar.
- To start pet mode, press Start.
The pet mode standby screen appears.
- Check the set temperature on the pet mode standby screen.
- On the pet mode standby screen, you can cancel activation by pressing Cancel.
- To activate pet mode, lock the vehicle doors from outside within five minutes.
- While pet mode is active, the infotainment system buttons and some buttons inside the vehicle may not work.
- Bluetooth and phone projection device connections are disconnected when pet mode is activated. The last connected device automatically reconnects when pet mode is deactivated. At this, media from the connected device will not play automatically.
- Media audio does not play while pet mode is active.
- You can remotely change the interior temperature from outside the vehicle using the myHyundai App.

Exiting pet mode
- Unlock the vehicle doors.
- To exit pet mode, touch the screen while it is active.
- Pet mode will automatically restart if the vehicle doors are locked from outside within five minutes of being unlocked, while the exit standby screen is displayed.
