Using N mode (if equipped)


You can set the drive modes and performance options to optimise your vehicle′s driving performance and view tutorials on N mode driving.
Depending on the system language, this function may not be supported.
Note
  • You can change the N mode settings only when the engine is running.
  • Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, displayed screens and available functions may vary.

Starting N mode

On the Home screen, press All menus > N mode.

  1. Display the options list.
  1. Display Off: Turn off the screen. Press the screen to turn it back on.
  2. Manual: Access the web manual via the QR code. For safety reasons, you can access the QR code only when your vehicle is stationary.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Set the drive modes for each part. > See ″Setting the drive modes.″
  1. Select the vehicle′s performance options. > See ″Configuring the driving performance options.″
  1. View the tutorials on N mode driving, such as track driving and economy. > See ″Viewing tutorials on N mode driving.″

Setting the drive modes

You can set the drive mode by individual part, such as the engine or steering.

Option A

  1. On the Home screen, press All menus > N mode > CUSTOM.
  1. Select a part and its mode.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Reset: Reset your drive mode settings to the default values.
  2. Manual: Access the web manual via the QR code. For safety reasons, you can access the QR code only when your vehicle is stationary.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Select a drive mode for the engine. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s engine response will vary.
  1. Select a drive mode for the transmission settings. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s shifting speed and damping level will vary.
  1. Select a drive mode for the suspension system. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s ride quality will vary.
  1. Select a drive mode for the steering system. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s steering sensitivity will vary.
  1. Select a drive mode for electronic stability control (ESC) system. The ESC system controls the vehicle frames automatically for stable driving.
  1. View details about each drive mode and change the drive mode.
Note
You can also change the drive mode for each part by dragging its icon to the desired drive mode.

Option B

  1. On the Home screen, press All menus > N mode and press the custom widget.
  1. Select a custom mode and select the drive modes you want.
  1. Select a custom mode to set the drive modes.
  1. Display the options list.
  1. Reset (if equipped): Reset your drive mode settings to the default values.
  2. Manual: Access the web manual via the QR code. For safety reasons, you can access the QR code only when your vehicle is stationary.
  1. Return to the previous level.
  1. Select a drive mode for each part.
  1. Engine: Select a drive mode for the engine. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s engine response will vary.
  2. Steering: Select a drive mode for the steering system. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s steering sensitivity will vary.
  3. ESC: Select a drive mode for electronic stability control (ESC) system. The ESC system controls the vehicle frames automatically for stable driving.
  4. Exhaust sound: Select a drive mode for the exhaust sound. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s exhaust sound may vary.
  5. REV matching (if equipped): Select a drive mode for the engine speed matching system. Depending on this setting, the transmission speed and shock loads when you are down shifting will vary.
  6. Transmiss. (if equipped): Select a drive mode for the transmission settings. Depending on this setting, your vehicle′s shifting speed and damping level will vary.

Configuring the driving performance options

You can change the settings for the driving performance options, such as acceleration and shifting.
On the Home screen, press All menus > N mode > Performance options and select an option to change.

Launch control

You can set a target RPM to allow for the vehicle to accelerate quickly from a stop. To activate the launch control, press Activate.
Note
To restore the default RPM setting for the launch control, press Reset RPM.

Shift light

You can select drive modes for displaying the shifting signal and set a target RPM to shift to. To activate the shifting sound alert, press Alert sound.
Note
  • To change the drive modes for displaying the shifting signal, press Set drive mode (if equipped).
  • To restore the default RPM setting for the shift light, press Reset RPM.

N power shift (if equipped)

You can set the system to reduce jerking when shifting and improve acceleration performance by optimising the shifting response.
Note
This setting can be activated only when your vehicle is in N mode and the transmission mode is SPORT+.

N track sense shift (if equipped)

You can set the system to automatically start the shifting mode for race track driving when dynamic driving conditions are detected.
Note
This setting can be activated only when your vehicle is in N mode and the transmission mode is SPORT+.

N road sense (if equipped)

You can set the system to suggest using N mode when a double bend sign is detected on the road.

Auto creep Off (if equipped)

While in ″D″ (Drive), you can prevent the vehicle from creeping forward when the brake is released.

Viewing tutorials on N mode driving

You can view the tutorials for best using N mode.
  1. On the Home screen, press All menus > N mode > Tutorial.
  1. Select a part you want and view the tutorial.
