This map is based on the following items published by Geospatial Information Authority of Japan with its approval under the Article 30 of The Survey Act.

This map is based on the Digital Road Map Database developed by Japan Digital Road Map Association (Approval of the use of deliverables (12-0080) under the Article 44 of The Survey Act).

VICS Data

VICS data is provided by JAPAN ROAD TRAFFIC INFORMATION CENTER and VEHICLE INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CENTER.

The copyright of VICS Link Database is vested in JAPAN DIGITAL ROAD MAP ASSOCIATION and JAPAN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION.

Target roads to display road traffic information by VICS (such as congestion information and arrows) will be revised annually. Therefore, traffic information for some roads, displayed in the past, may not be displayed.

The details such as the prices, menu, the operation timings and other content might change.

This terms of use ("Terms of Use") describes the terms and conditions of using map data and information for retrieval ("Software") contained in "Navigation System" ("Product") and forms a valid and binding contract between the consumer ("Consumer" or you) and ZENRIN CO., LTD. ("Company"). Please read this Terms of Use before using this Software. Once the Consumer start to use the Software, you shall be deemed to have agreed to this Terms of Use. This Terms of Use shall be prepared and executed in both Japanese and English. If there is any discrepancy or inconsistency between Japanese and English version, the Japanese version shall prevail

The Company hereby grants the Consumer the right to use the Software in the Product in accordance with the terms and conditions herein and user manual of the Product. Make sure to use the Software (i) only when you stop or park your car in a safe place, and (ii) in taking precedence of the actual road conditions, traffic regulations and signals over the information contained in the Software whenever you drive a car. The Consumer acknowledges and agrees that: (1) The Company or its licensor owns or retains the copyright in and to the Software, (2) The information contained in the Software may differ from the actual traffic and road conditions or landscapes. As such, this Software is provided "as is" and the Company makes no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to, content, quality, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, reliability, usefulness or fitness for a particular purpose, (3)The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damages of any kind, whether direct or indirect, including but not limited to, any loss of profit, revenue, contracts or savings, and incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of the use of the Software, except for those resulting from the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, (4)The Consumer shall indemnify and hold harmless the Company from and against any liability, cost or expense (including attorney’s fees) arising from any suit, demand, cause of action or other claim of whatever nature which is attributable to any breach of the Terms of Use by the Consumer, (5) The Consumer is prohibited to copy, extract, transcribe, alter, modify or transmit the whole or any portion of the Software, (6) The Consumer is prohibited to distribute, sell, lend, lease, sublicense or otherwise permit any third party (whether with or without consideration) to use the whole or any portion of the Software, including any copy, output, extract or other derivatives, and (7) The Consumer is prohibited to use the Software in the unauthorized manner or for the purpose not expressly granted in this Terms of Use.

Warnings

In order to avoid traffic accidents, the subsequent deaths, injuries, property damages and to keep drivers and passengers safe, please strictly observe the following instructions when using the Product.

Warning

This mark indicates the risks and damages which may result in death or severe injury unless following the instructions below.

Do not stare the display while driving. It may cause a traffic accident.

Make sure to operate the Product only when you stop or park your car in a safe place. Otherwise, it may cause a traffic collision.

Take precedence of the actual traffic or road conditions, traffic regulations and signals over the information contained in the Product whenever driving. The map data, traffic regulations data, routes data, and audio navigations contained in the Product may differ from the actual traffic or road conditions, and following only the navigation route guidance may lead to a traffic accident.

Take precedence of the actual street and traffic signs in one-way traffic situations over the information contained in the Product whenever driving. The one-way traffic data in the Product is not perfect and does not cover all the actual information. For example, one-way street data in the Product may include two-way traffic information as a part of it.

Do not rely on the Product to route you to emergency services. As the data recorded in the Product is not perfect and does not cover all the emergency facilities such as hospitals, fire departments, police departments, etc. The information shown on the display may differ from the actual traffic and road conditions or landscapes and therefore you may not arrive at the destination within the scheduled time as shown in the Product.
