Built-in Cam

Using the built-in cam (if equipped)

The Built-in Cam refers to an embedded black box. When the vehicle is driven or parked, front and rear views are recorded by the two cameras mounted on the front and rear of the vehicle.

To view a recorded video, press Built-in Cam on the Home screen.

  • To manually record a video, press in the vehicle.
  • While driving, the Built-in Cam option on the Home screen is not enabled.
  • When the Built-in Cam screen is displayed, automatic recording pauses.

Warning

Video playback is limited while driving, to ensure safety. If you play a video while driving, there is a risk of crash due to failure to pay attention to traffic ahead.

Configuring recording options

On the Built-in Cam screen, press Built-in Cam Settings, and activate one or more of the following recording options:

  • •  On While Driving: Records videos while driving.
  • •  Driving Events: Records videos when an impact is detected while driving.
  • •  On While Parked: Records videos while parked.
  • •  Parked Events: Records videos when an impact is detected while parked.
  • To record videos while parked, ensure that a dedicated auxiliary battery is installed. Recording stops if the set time period is exceeded or the auxiliary battery goes dead.

Manually recording videos

Manually record videos by using the manual recording button in the vehicle, regardless of whether auto recording mode is enabled.

Use one of the following methods:

  • •  Press the manual recording button to immediately save a video as long as the set duration. A video is not saved if the ignition is off and the auxiliary battery goes dead or the maximum recording duration while parked is exceeded after pressing the manual recording button.
  • •  If the ignition is on and the manual recording button is pressed and held, time-lapse recording begins. If the ignition is turned off or the manual recording button is pressed and held again, time-lapse recording stops.
  • The manual recording feature is disabled when the Built-in Cam screen is displayed.

Viewing the Built-in Cam video

Playing automatically recorded videos

  1. Press at the bottom tab of the Built-in Cam screen.
  2. Select the category from the list.
  3. From the preview list, select the video to play.

Playing manually recorded videos

  1. Press at the bottom tab of the Built-in Cam screen.
  2. Press Manual Recordings or Time-lapse.
  3. From the preview list, select the video to play.

Playing a saved video

  1. Press at the bottom tab of the Built-in Cam screen.
  2. Press My Videos.
  3. From the video list in the storage, select the video to play.

Viewing a realtime video

To confirm that the cameras are working normally and the camera lenses are not contaminated, press at the bottom tab on the Built-in Cam screen.

Storing recorded videos

  1. Press or at the bottom tab of the Built-in Cam screen.
  2. From the preview list, press Save to My Videos.
  3. Select the video to store, and press Save.
    • If the storage space is full, older video files are automatically deleted. To manually delete recorded videos, press and hold the Built-in Cam card from the preview list, or press Delete or Delete All. If you press Delete All, all videos stored in the built-in cam are deleted.

Configuring Built-in Cam Settings

On the Built-in Cam screen, press Built-in Cam Settings.

Recording Options

Select the type of video to record and set the audio recording and the information to be displayed on the video.

  • •  On While Driving: Records videos while driving. Videos are recorded at 1-minute intervals.
  • •  Driving Events: Records videos when an impact is detected while driving.
  • •  On While Parked: Records videos while parked. Videos are recorded at 30-minute intervals.
  • •  Parked Events: Records videos when an impact is detected while parked.
  • •  Voice Recording: Records voice while recording video.
  • •  Display Information Stamps: Displays the information stamps in the recorded video.

Recording Time

Set the parking recording and event recording durations.

  • •  Parked Recordings: Set the recording duration after parking.
  • •  Use High-voltage Battery to Record while Parked: Record while parked for up to 120 hours using high-voltage battery power. When using high-voltage battery power, fuel efficiency is reduced (if equipped).
  • •  Event Recordings: Set the duration to record a video when an impact is detected while driving or parked.
  • •  Time-lapse Recording Length and Interval: Set the interval in seconds and how many minutes to record a time-lapse video.

Event Detection Sensitivity

Set the sensitivity to detect event while driving and parking.

Display Settings

Set the height angle of the front and rear recordings.

App Connection

Set the settings to connect with the smartphone App and whether to provide a notification when an event occurs while parking.

  • •  Activate Built-in Cam Wi-Fi: Activates Built-in Cam Wi-Fi for smartphone connection.
  • •  Set Wi-Fi Password: Set a Wi-Fi password to connect to a smartphone. This password should be entered when connecting the smartphone to the Wi-Fi.
  • •  Change Wi-Fi Password: Change the set Wi-Fi password for smartphone connection. Enter the changed password when connecting the smartphone to the Wi-Fi.
  • •  Parked Events Notification: Sends notifications to your mobile phone when an impact is detected while parked. Notifications are provided up to five times while parked.

SD Memory

Check SD memory status and location, set disconnection and reset of SD memory.

  • •  SD Memory Status: Enable to check the SD card status.
  • •  SD Memory Slot Location: Check the SD memory card slot location.
  • •  Disconnect SD Memory: Press the Disconnect button and remove the SD care safely. If the SD card is not safely removed, the saved files and the file system on the card may get damaged.
  • •  Reset SD Memory: Delete all recorded videos and reset the SD memory.
