What is Bluetooth?

• Bluetooth is a near-field wireless networking technology that uses 2.45 GHz frequency to connect various devices in wireless in a certain distance.
• Bluetooth hands-free is a feature that enables convenient phone calls using a mobile phone with Bluetooth via the AV or navigation system installed in the vehicle.
• Some mobile phone models may not support Hands-free feature. Reference website for the list of supporting mobile devices. (https://www.hyundai.com)

Precautions for Safe Driving

• Neglected front views due to excessive control actions during driving may cause traffic accidents. Therefore, Do NOT control devices excessively during driving.
• Long view on the screen may cause an accident. Therefore, what the screen only for a short period of time.

Precautions on Connecting Bluetooth Phone

• Before connecting Bluetooth hands-free head unit and a mobile phone, check if the phone supports Bluetooth.
• The connection with head unit may fail even for a phone supporting Bluetooth of the phone's connection mode is locked. Connect a phone to the head unit after unlocking the connection mode.

Registering and Connecting Bluetooth Device

In case of No Previous Registration (New Registration)

1. Press [] button of steering wheel remote control or [Phone] on the home screen.

Press [Cancel] if desire not to register a new device.

2. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.
3. If SSP (Secure Simple Pairing) is supported, authorize the registration on the Bluetooth device.
4. A message that approves the access request to the contacts and the call record of the Bluetooth device opens.
5. A message that request for the access to messages of the Bluetooth device.

The initial vehicle name is registered as "NEXO" with the authentication passkey of '0000'. Depending on the Bluetooth device, the authentication passkey may or may not be required. Depending on the Bluetooth device, Android or iOS phone, the message may appear differently. For iOS phones, select [Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [] > [Show Notification]. If SSP (Secure Simple Pairing) is not supported, process the registration after entering the authentication passkey on the Bluetooth device.

6. When the connection is completed, the recent call screen opens.

If a device is registered

1. Press [Setup] > [Device Connections] > [Device Connections] on the home screen. Device connections setting screen opens.
2. Press the name of device to connect. If the device to connect is not found, register the Bluetooth device by selecting [Add New Device].
3. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.
4. If SSP (Secure Simple Pairing) is supported, authorize the registration on the Bluetooth device.
5. A message that approves the access request to the contacts and the call record of the Bluetooth device opens.
6. A message that request for the access to messages of the Bluetooth device.

Up to 5 Bluetooth devices are allowed for the registration. Only one Bluetooth device is allowed for connection in the registration list. No device can be registered while connecting a Bluetooth device. Only features related to Bluetooth hands-free, the phonebook synchronization, the message synchronization and Bluetooth audio are supported. Bluetooth hands-free is specified only on the front screen.

Change Device

You can connect the head unit and another Bluetooth device already paired.

Press [Phone] > [Menu] > [Change Device] on the home screen.

Cancelling Device Connection

1. Press [Setup] > [Device Connections] > [Device Connections] on the home screen. Device connections setting screen opens.
2. If you want to disconnect the paired device, press the currently connected device.

Deleting Device

1. Press [Setup] > [Device Connections] > [Device Connections] on the home screen.
2. Press [Menu] > [Delete].

3. Select the desired item, then press [Delete] > [Yes].

Pressing [a] on the dial pad also opens device connections setting screen. When a device is deleted, the recent calls and the contacts of the device saved in the head unit are entirely deleted.
