Cautions upon connecting Bluetooth phone

Pairing and connecting the unit and a Bluetooth phone

To use the Bluetooth feature, make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is turned on.

Refer to your phone’s user guide.

When no phones have been paired

  1. Press the [W] button on the steering wheel remote control or [Phone] on the home screen.
  2. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.
  3. Check certification number and, authorize the registration on the Bluetooth device.
  4. A message that approves the access request to the contacts and the call record of the Bluetooth device opens.
  5. A message that request for the access to messages of the Bluetooth device opens.
  6. When the connection is completed, the Bluetooth connection icon is displayed on the top-right corner.

,Note

  • The initial vehicle name is registered as purchased vehicle name.
  • Depending on the Bluetooth device, the certification number may or may not be entered.
  • Depending on the Bluetooth device or Android, iOS phone, the message may appear differently.
  • For iOS phones, set the Bluetooth notification.

When a phone is already paired

  1. Press [Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [Bluetooth connection] on the home screen. The Bluetooth settings screen opens.
  2. Press the name of device to connect.

If the device to connect is not found, register the Bluetooth device by selecting [Add new device].

  1. Search and select the vehicle name on Bluetooth device registration waiting screen.
  2. Check certification number and, authorize the registration on the Bluetooth device.
  3. A message that approves the access request to the contacts and the call record of the Bluetooth device opens.
  4. A message that request for the access to messages of the Bluetooth device opens.
  5. When the connection is completed, the name of connected Bluetooth device appears on the screen.

,Note

  • Up to 5 Bluetooth devices are allowed for the registration.
  • Only one Bluetooth device is allowed for each registration.
  • No device can be registered while connecting a Bluetooth device.
  • Only features related to Bluetooth hands-free, the phonebook synchronization, the message synchronization and Bluetooth audio are supported.

Change device

You can connect the head unit and another Bluetooth device already paired.

Press [Phone] > [Menu] > [Change device] on the home screen.

,Note

You can use the change device function by pressing [%5bi%5d%2009_PHONE_01_CHANGE.jpg] on the playing screen.

Cancelling device connection

  1. Press [Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [Bluetooth connection] on the home screen.
  2. If you want to disconnect the paired device, press the currently connected device.

,Note

Pressing [a] on the dial pad also opens Bluetooth connections settings screen.

Deleting device

  1. Press [Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [Bluetooth connection] on the home screen.
  2. Press [Menu] > [Delete].

  1. Select the desired item, press [Delete] > [Yes].

,Note

  • Pressing [a] on the dial pad also opens Bluetooth connections settings screen.
  • When a device is deleted, the recent calls and the contacts of the device saved in the head unit are entirely deleted.
